Every spring we develop prints for one of our best selling categories: Fruits! After all what is more cheerful than a fruit print for that perfect summer picnic or family vacation? Discovering the trending fruit ahead of time is always the challenge. Traditionally watermelons and lemons have always been our "go to" for this category. We also usually launch our fruit collections in April or May but this year is different. To start, we saw cherries and strawberries trending in February which is early so we hopped on the bandwagon by creating a cherry collection that we launched a few weeks later.
Since our cherry collection did so well we brought out our lemon prints early this year and then decided to try oranges. Our new citrus prints also are doing really well. The big surprise for us was watermelon, it was trending down for the first time in several years. As with any trend, what comes up will eventually come down.
Next up will be Strawberries! I don't know about you but I am always up for a delicious piece of strawberry shortcake!
